The core characteristics of aluminum extrusion die
The core characteristics of aluminum extrusion die
First, aluminum extrusion die materials and process characteristics
High strength heat resistant material
Using H13 die steel (hardness HRC 50-55) or imported SKD61 (hardness HRC 58-60) to ensure high temperature compressive strength and wear resistance.
The roughness of the cavity working belt needs to reach 0.8-0 μm, the manufacturing accuracy is 0.01mm, and it is suitable for complex profile structures.
Precision forming process
The die-making method includes five stages such as preheating and prepressing, hot pressing and heat preservation, and the cooling stage needs to control the cooling speed to prevent warping.
The extrusion ratio is controlled at 20-30 (e.g. 6061 aluminum alloy) to balance metal flow and profile strength.
Second, the structural design characteristics of aluminum extrusion dies
Difference between split mode and flat mode
Diverting die: used for hollow profiles (such as radiators), need to design the shunt bridge and welding chamber, extrusion ratio of 20-30.
Flat die: suitable for solid profiles (such as square tubes), low cost but only for simple sections.
Special-shaped customization capability
Supports complex cross-sections (e.g. L-slot/U-slot), requiring treatment of uneven metal flow and long mold testing cycles.
